Media Coordinator/Librarian

Madison Middle School

I enjoy hiking, canoeing, reading, cooking and travel.  I have 2 adopted children, both in college, ages 21, and have been married for 36 years to Nancy Larkin.  I am a media coordinator/librarian at Madison Middle School and have worked in other schools in NC and Georgia. One of the more interesting jobs I have had was as a console operator at the Morehead Planetarium working the large $3million dollar star projector, during my last stint in graduate school. I was born in Rockford, Illinois, went to high school with Robin Williams, the comedian, and then to college at Mercer University in Macon, GA.

I have volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, MANNA Food Bank, and have donated over 11 gallons of blood in my life.

Due to the sincerity of our Executive Director, Tom Field, I decided that I could help him by serving on the board. He needed help and I happened to be in the right place at the right time when Tom asked me. It has been a rewarding experience and the Board is a great group of people
