It is an honor to be asked to serve on the Board of EMYS.
I grew up on a farm in Central Texas with my parents and six siblings. After obtaining my nursing education in Austin I worked in an ICU unit in a city-county teaching hospital before joining Vista for a year. I was assigned to Ellijay Georgia where I fell in love with community based nursing and then obtained my Family Nurse Practitioner education at UNC in Chapel Hill. The Hot Springs Health Program It is an honor to be asked to serve on the Board of EMYS. as my internship site which led to my love affair with Madison County and her people. Except for a year after my marriage to Danny Wyatt when we lived in Ellijay Georgia I have called Madison County home.
We live on Stackhouse Road where we raised our son, Dillon, who now lives in Indiana with his wife Danielle.
I worked in the county for the Hot Springs Health Program and with the VA Hospital in Asheville before retiring in October 2018. I love to garden, hike, read and cook.
